As a Nats season ticket holder since 2005, I’ve accumulated a whole lot of bobbleheads over the years. Before I retired, I had quite a display in my office. But now, many are in storage boxes gathering dust or cluttering up my house, and sadly, it’s time to part with them. So I’d like to offer these soon to be homeless bobbleheads to any Talk Nats reader who might want them.
You can see a list of the available bobbleheads in this Google Sheet.
I’m asking for a voluntary donation of $10 for each bobblehead you claim. I will contribute all the proceeds of this bobblehead fire sale to the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, which TalkNats has supported for several years through our RCR points drive at the end of the season.
The Youth Baseball Academy is not behind or involved with this effort. In the past they have requested no bobblehead donations, but they do accept cash gifts.
Here’s how it will work:
- You can claim a bobblehead by commenting in this post. First come, first served.
- Once I respond that “it’s yours,” email me at < [email protected] >, and we can get in touch to arrange delivery/pickup and payment.
- If you have unwanted bobbleheads of your own that you’d like to add to this fire sale for charity, feel free to list them in the comments and I’ll add them to the Sheet. (Make sure to note the information I’ve provided about mine to help possible buyers.)
- I’ll also keep track of claims for the bobbleheads that weren’t originally mine. We can figure out later how the parties involved want to handle delivery/pickup of those bobbleheads.
Thanks everyone. Let the games begin!
