The Washington Nationals are in Wrigley Field for their season finale against the Cubs. The winner of this series, gets to also claim the series win. For the Nats, Trevor Williams will pitch the final game, and this all comes before a day off tomorrow ahead of a weekend series against the Giants in Washington, D.C.
The Nats called up RHP Rico Garcia over the weekend and here he is with a callup as this bullpen needs help. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Nats transferred catcher Israel Pineda to 60-day IL. Garcia took the spot of RHP Paolo Espino who was placed on the 15-day Injured List with a flexor strain of fourth right finger.
“Other relievers are going to have to step up.”
