The Nationals have signed Tyler Danish to a minor-league deal, Steve Mears of TalkNats reported Monday.
As noted, Danish will be assigned to Triple-A Rochester. The right-hander slated a 5.13 ERA to go along with a 4.11 xFIP in 32 relief outings for the Red Sox last season, before Danish elected free agency at the end of the season instead of sticking with Boston.
The 28-year-old journeyman joined the Yankees on a minor-league deal in late December but wasn’t able to salvage a spot on New York’s Opening Day roster before being released by the club on March 31.
Danish has a career 5.06 ERA in 43 career appearances, playing for four different organizations across his 10-year pro career.
