For a Spring Training game it does not get better than Justin Verlander on the mound for the New York Mets. If we had vintage Patrick Corbin of 2019, we would call this a pitcher’s duel. Oh well, let’s see what Corbin does in this one as he might be named the Washington Nationals starting pitcher for Opening Day — and that is less than 10 days away! The Nats had their first walk-off win of the season yesterday on a crazy 2-out error to bring in the winning run to beat Detroit. The Nats improved to 10-9-1 in Grapefruit League play, and there are just six more games after today scheduled in the Florida portion of Spring Training, and the one exhibition game against the Yankess at Nats Park a week from tomorrow. One observation on this spring training is that most of the wins are coming long after the starting players have been pulled from the game. These minor leaguers and bench players have been pulling rabbits out of their hats for weeks now to squeak out exciting wins. I’m not complaining, just observing. There is no television for this game, double shocker! But we do have Charlie & Dave on the radio call for this one!Today's lineup with Ildemaro Vargas in LF. https://t.co/2hWPoKGwbE
