We have Washington Nationals baseball today, but unless you have someone streaming it from their camera for you or you are actually at the game, you are out of luck on the visual. But don’t fret, the Cardinals were kind enough to send a radio crew to the game, and that is available on the MLB app.
The starting lineup is six of the nine players you would expect on Opening Day except for
CJ Abrams,
Luis Garcia, and
Joey Meneses. Today’s starting pitcher is
Patrick Corbin, and his middle infield will be
Jeter Downs at second base and
Leonel Valera at shortstop.
Matt Adams is the starting DH in this game.
The Nats enter this game with a 2-1 record. The first two wins were achieved in the first two games of Grapefruit League play. Last year, it took the Nats 12 games to win their first two games. So far, the Nats projected starters have looked very ready for the challenge, and few issues.
Dominic Smith and
Victor Robles are the only two Nats’ projected starters without a hit this spring, but let’s be real, the sample sizes are single-digits at this point.
Remember, early Spring Training is supposed to be about process, and with good process comes good results in the larger sample sizes. The good news from the veterans is that we are seeing good process, and that is what counts the most.
