Mitchell Parker Twirls a Gem in Saturday’s MiLB Recap

Class-A Fredericksburg “FredNats” Nationals

Bryan Caceres had a solid start, scattering seven hits over five innings and only allowing two runs. The two bullpen arms both surrendered two runs a piece as well. Jeremy De La Rosa had the only run-batted-in on a single in the 3rd inning. TJ White had two runs and a double. FredNats lose 6-2.

High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks

Mitchell Parker was fantastic in game one of the double header going seven innings and only giving up three hits, three walks, and striking out five. Possibly the southpaws best start of the year. The offense couldn’t muster a run on four hits. Omar Meregildo had two. Rocks lose game one 1-0. Yasel Antuna was the only source of offense in game two, smacking a solo homer in the first inning. They lose game two as well, 4-1.

Double-A Harrisburg Senators

The Senators got walloped by Richmond, spotting them 10 runs between the 5th and 8th innings. Jack Dunn and Justin Connell both had two hits, but it wouldn’t be nearly enough. They lose 10-2.

Triple-A Rochester Red Wings

Carson Teel made his first start back in Triple-A and got the loss, but was great. He only allowed one hit in four innings and struck out seven batters. The offense got shutout and only had five hits.

Farm System final notes 🎶

Randy Lara pitched great for the DSL Nats going five innings and only allowed two unearned runs. He also struck out four and didn’t allow a walk. Mason Thompson had another outing for the FCL Nats and struck out the side in his only inning.
