Class-A Fredericksburg “FredNats” Nationals
In Game 1,
Andry Lara had another rough game. In the 2nd inning, he spotted Lynchburg five runs on three hits and two walks.
Leandro Emiliani and Alan Berrios both tallied two hits and
Sammy Infante had the only extra-base hit – a double.
They lose the first game 9-7.
Andrew Alvarez started on the bump in the second game. This was his first stat since April 27th as he’s been coming out of the pen (and dominating) recently.
Leandro Emiliani had two more hits in Game 2, both doubles. His OPS is up to .919.
TJ White also had three hits himself. His batting average is now at .255 for the season after starting below the Mendoza line.
They win big in Game 2, 8-1.
High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks
Runners left on base was the story of the game for the offense once again. They only managed two runs on 10 hits with 23 left on base.
Jose Sanchez,
Drew Mendoza, and
Jordy Barley all had two hits.
Rodney Theophile – the story of the year – made his first start since his promotion. He was not quite as dominant, but still very good.
Jose Ferrer tossed two scoreless to end the game.
Blue Rocks lose 5-2.
Double-A Harrisburg Senators
The Senators got out to an early lead via a
Jack Dunn leadoff home run and singles from
Justin Connell and
Jake Alu.
Wilson Garcia hit a two-run shot to extend the lead in the 7th and that’d be all they need after a solid start from
Alex Troop.
Troop is putting together an exceptional 2022 campaign, bolstering it with his start last night. He went five innings allowing three runs on five hits with six strikeouts.
Richard Guasch and Zack Brzykcy were nails out of the bullpen.
Senators win 6-4.
Triple-A Rochester Red Wings
The Wings pitching staff kept the Saints scoreless until the bottom of the 9th when they made a four run comeback. The Red Wings were winning 3-0 heading into the 9th and ended up losing the game.
Patrick Murphy has been much better than his stint in the majors. He has a 1.98 ERA.
Wings lose 4-3.
Farm System final notes 🎶
Sebastian Castro was the only player to tally multiple hits in the DSL game.
The FCL Nats were held to three hits, one coming from top prospect
Roismar Quintana.
