After Erick Fedde couldn’t make it out of the second inning yesterday, an overworked bullpen needed fresh arms today, and the team already had a dilemma with the DFA of Aaron Sanchez to create an opening in the rotation.
There is so much news to cover. The big news is that LHP Evan Lee from Harrisburg Double-A will be starting tomorrow. We broke the news that Lee was chosen which shocked many who thought Jackson Tetreault would get the call-up.

There were four roster moves today:
· Selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Jordan Weems
· Recalled left-handed pitcher Francisco Perez from Triple-A Rochester
· Optioned right-handed pitcher Andres Machado to Triple-A Rochester
· Designated right-handed pitcher Austin Voth for assignment
In addition, Stephen Strasburg officially will continue his rehab assignment in Rochester Triple-A. Joe Ross will get his second UCL (Tommy John) surgery, and Nelson Cruz will not be in the lineup today due to the contusion on his ankle suffered in a HBP in yesterday’s game.
Patrick Corbin gets the start today, at a time the Nats need him to go deep in the game due to Fedde’s short stint yesterday. Corbin earned his first win of the season last week and hopes to build on his success tonght.
