After last night’s controversial rain-out on Juan Soto Shuffle bobblehead night, we try this again in a day/night doubleheader. The Washington Nationals are going to try to do something they have not done all year — win three games in a row. That is, as they say, a winning streak. Aaron Sanchez is on the mound with the opportunity to lead the Nats from the mound.
This Nationals team has finally seemed to have found some life this month. The team needs to put together a few games of great pitching and strong offense at the same time.
For tonight’s lineup, manager Dave Martinez has put Alcides Escobar at shortstop and Victor Robles and Riley Adams were not originally in the lineup, and we now be in there with Keibert Ruiz and Yadiel Hernandez on the bench.
For the 27th player designated for a doubleheader, the Nats will have RHP Andres Machado in the bullpen for both games.
