The Washington Nationals plane touched down in Pittsburgh at 2:35 am. Players got to be just before 4 am. Just more sleep deprivation to start a weekend series. The Nats enter this series with 58 wins, and the Pirates at 50 wins. There is very little chance the Nats could hop ahead of the Pirates in the standings for the biggest loser…hence getting the more favorable draft pick.
We still do not have a starter listed for the Nats, and manager Dave Martinez should be disclosing who that is very soon. The Pirates are going with lefty Steven Brault.
