The injury bug has struck the Washington Nationals even harder as the team us without Trea Turner (finger) and Jordy Mercer (leg) and Alex Avila will start at second base in an infield shuffle to move Starlin Castro to shortstop and Josh Harrison to third base.
What we don’t know is how long Turner and Mercer will be out. All of this on a roster that was playing a man short on the bench. Only Ryan Zimmerman and Gerardo Parra are healthy bench players.
The Dodgers were supposed to be pitching Tony Gonselin tonight but have switched to lefty Victor Gonzalez to start the game.
For the Nats, they will stick with Patrick Corbin to start this game.
