The Nationals gave away a game last night and now look to split this 2-game series in Miami. Stephen Strasburg gets the start tonight, and he wants to continue what he has been working on since he returned from the DL a few weeks ago.
The Washington Nationals are at 76-75 after last night’s loss with a “tragic” number of 5, and the team at this point is just seeing what young players can step-up and contribute to the 2019 team. Last night, Victor Robles shined bright as he obliterated a baseball sending it 427 feet for his first career MLB home run. Robles also added a single and some more great defense.
For today’s game, the Marlins send rookie top prospect Sandy Alcantara to the mound. This will be the righties fourth game this year, and he has a 1.42 ERA in 19 innings of work with a 0.95 WHIP and a 6.63 K/9.
