Game #119 A 4-game series against the Cardinals

The Nationals arrived in St. Louis a few minutes before 2:00AM (EDT) last night on an un-happy flight. The players probably fell asleep earlier than many of the fans. Last night’s loss was one of those game’s for the history books, and at the same time a game the Nationals would like to forget. The team hopefully takes their frustrations out on the St. Louis Cardinals.

Tonight’s game brings back Tommy Milone for another start.  The Cardinals have righty Miles Mikolas going.

Manager Dave Martinez can hopefully get his lefty batters locked back in tonight. There is no match-up data against Miles Mikolas and Nats players so Martinez will have to piece this lineup together based on the enormous splits. Lefties hit Mikolas so much better than righties at an OPS against righties at .473 vs .714 against lefties.

Juan Soto has been in a mini drought lately and Matt Adams has not seen much playing time. We will also be in a wait and see on Anthony Rendon‘s wrist, and GM Mike Rizzo has a decision on Ryan Madson as to whether he will need a DL stint or a few days rest and treatments.

Today is Left-Handers day and with that the Nationals pin their hopes to lefty Tommy Milone today and all the lefties in the Nationals line-up.
