Today was originally Gio Gonzalez‘s day to start since his previous start 6 days ago in a game that was saved by two spectacular plays by his leftfielder Andrew Stevenson who not only made a diving catch, but also gunned out Miguel Cabrera at the plate to save more damage. Gio gave up 6-hits over 3 innings and luckily Gio only gave up 2 runs. Instead today’s starter is now Erick Fedde who will have Tommy Milone relieving him. Five days ago it was A.J. Cole starting in tandem with Erick Fedde. That begs the question, where is A.J. Cole? What is going on? Did Gio start on the Minor’s side?
Also, Howie Kendrick is not back after being pulled after one at-bat in Thursday’s game when the Nationals manager downplayed any concerns saying it was not an injury rather what he described as “heavy legs”. Well, Wilmer Difo is starting today, so there is that.
And here we are with a lot of unanswered questions and still no Michael Taylor, Ryan Zimmerman and Adam Eaton. In the pre-game presser Dave Martinez did give updates on Taylor and Daniel Murphy.
Michael A. scheduled to hit on the field, too. Good signs. https://t.co/vLPsjppgaC

Looks like Daniel Murphy is scheduled to take BP on the field today, which is something we have not seen him do.
