Just when you thought the Nationals were near 100% healthy, think again. News broke this afternoon that Anthony Rendon‘s injured calf would keep him out of today’s game which subsequently was postponed due to inclement weather, and in a day-to-day status which could be one day or several days. Opening Day is on Monday!
Read for yourself this Tweet (below) from Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post:
Dusty said Rendon is "so-so," and that he can't do whole lot right now. Didn't sound particularly optimistic. Wouldn't commit to Opening Day

The reason Washington Nationals’ fans are overly concerned is because in Spring Training of the 2015 season, Rendon dove for a ball and bumped his knee and was listed day-to-day and that bumped knee really cost Rendon most of that 2015 season as he missed 82 games and had his worst season for the Nationals.
If Rendon goes on the disabled list, it could mean that either Wilmer Difo or Grant Green would take his place on the Opening Day roster.
