It took until 9AM local time in Los Angeles for Dave Roberts to announce Clayton Kershaw as his Game #4 starter which is an elimination game for the Dodgers. This will be a start for Kershaw on three days rest versus the traditional four days rest that most starters work on in a five-man rotation.
The Nationals will stick with the plan and start Joe Ross with Max Scherzer available if a Game 5 was necessary.
This is a do-or-die elimination game for the Dodgers, and Kershaw was not spectacular in Game 1 but unfortunately Max Scherzer gave up one more run than the three that Kershaw gave up.
Dusty Baker will stick with his Game 1 line-up that hit Kershaw well overall, and the hope today is that Trea Turner can get on base several times. Pedro Severino is back starting at catcher.
