4-13-16 was quite the day in sports.
The Washington Nationals had never started a season with a 6-1 record and they accomplished that with a 3-0 shutout win over the Braves, but you don’t think Kobe Bryant was thinking about that as Kobe had a 60 point Mamba retirement party when he said, “I think this has been an amazing day for sports fans” because the rest of the quote said, “basketball fans in particular” as Steph Curry got to 400 3-pointers in a season and his Golden State Warriors set the NBA record for 73 wins in a season eclipsing the 72 mark set by his coach Steve Kerr when he was a Chicago Bulls teammate with Michael Jordan.
Oh what a night for spots fans. Bryce Harper was watching at 1:02AM.
60. Winner. Legend. Goat. Mamba. #Kobe

There are no undefeated teams any more in MLB and the Nats are now tied with 1 in the loss column. There are some teams and players and fans who can say “I think this has been an amazing day for sports fans” and Bryce Harper, Jayson Werth, Tanner Roark, Stephen Drew and their teammates and their manager Dusty Baker would agree until today when it’s a new day because baseball plays almost every day during the season.
